It's Complicated

Find a therapist practicing Psychiatry

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who has completed a special training in psychiatry and specializes in mental health. Among all mental health professionals, psychiatrists are the only ones who can prescribe and manage medications (for example antidepressants, mood stabilizers, anxiolytics, and so on). Because they are physicians, psychiatrists can order or perform a full range of medical laboratory, psychological tests and clinical interviews that combined provide a comprehensive picture of a patient`s physical and mental state. Psychiatrists use different methods of treatment, including psychotherapy, medications, psychosocial interventions and others.

About It's Complicated

In 2019, two therapists set out to tackle a complicated problem.

The psychiatrist Carl Jung once wrote that, “Nobody, as long as he moves about among the chaotic currents of life, is without trouble”. One does not have to be a therapist, though, to realize that life is complicated. But finding the right therapist, who you can build a strong relationship with, shouldn’t have to be. This is the founding principle of It’s Complicated.Since our start, we've helped over 23,000 clients and counting, offering thousands of free crisis support hours, and built thriving therapy communities in Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Munich, and Athens.
