About Brigitte Escobar
Hi, I'm Brigitte Escobar
I know that living with stress, depression, anxiety or being in a relationship that is draining you, is devastating for your health and your life in general.
I also know that life can get better and I am passionate about guiding and supporting those who are ready.
Born 1968. I have an international background and besides my life in Denmark, I have lived and worked for 12 years as a jazz singer in the UK (Manchester) and spent 8 of my childhood years in Spain. I speak all three languages fluently.
I have always been passionate about supporting people emotionally and I have worked with people my entire life. Firstly as a singer and voice coach /teacher and now as a psychotherapist working for TUBA (Therapy and counseling for children of alcoholics) and Livslinien (suicide prevention), as well as in my own practice in Copenhagen, Denmark.
My therapeutic style has been created from the education and training courses, as well as many years of personal and professional experiences. However, what has always been most important to me is that the therapy room is a space where you can feel safe and feel accepted just as you are.
I have experienced how getting the support of a competent therapist has helped me out of a painful life into one that I love.
That is why I became a psychotherapist. Because I know that life can get better.
Wishing you well

In the same way as we can all feel pain in different parts of the body, so too does our relationships, thoughts and feelings cause us pain - However, when it is the 'emotional body' that is aching, it can be much harder to know what the problem is and what to do about it. This is what a psychotherapist is trained to help you do.
I am trained in, and work with a range of various methods such as:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Somatic Experiencing (expecially when we are working with traumatic experiences)
It is very important for me that you are comfortable and that the therapy proceeds at your own pace.
When you work with me, you can expect a tailored approach that depends on your specific situation and needs.
