Having lived in four different countries, across two continents, and an avid traveller I am aware of the challenges as well as new possibilities that come along with immersing yourself in a new culture. I believe we are not passive recipients of the sometimes harsh reality of the world around us. Instead I believe that we can actively create a new, positive sense of reality through our experience and knowledge. The importance of the client's subjective experience of reality allows us, working together, to co-create new meanings and new knowledge.
I believe each person comes to therapy as an expert on their problem and the therapist is an expert in various therapeutic approaches. Therefore, the therapeutic process requires collaborative work between the client and the therapist and is unique for each piece of work. Regardless of the approach we are going to draw upon in working together, I believe in creating a safe and confidential environment for you to share your difficulties.
As a psychologist I was trained in variety of therapeutic approaches. I was trained in and I am experienced with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) , psychodynamic therapy, schema therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing).
