I am a Scandinavian Psychologist who offers individual- and group therapy.
I currently see clients online and in person at my therapist office close to my hometown of Drammen, Norway
I received my license almost two decades ago and went on to hold positions in both the public and private health sector, working in such diverse levels of the health care system as day clinics, acute care, group therapy units, privately run institutions and psychologist offices. I currently offer individual in-person and online-psychotherapy to native and non-native English speakers from my office in my home country, Norway.
The quality of my services are secured through memberships in the Norwegian psychologist's association, as well as collegial supervision groups and continued education.
My approach:
Over the last twenty years I've been lucky enough to have had an integrative education followed by an eclectic work life. This lets me draw on methods and techniques from several psychological approaches, tailored to what my patients need, rather than starting from the assumption that one method is the “best” for everyone.
In your initial meetings with me, you can therefore expect our conversations to focus on identifying and formulating your therapeutic goals in such a way that we can work on them together. This also includes which techniques and methods we'll draw upon during your therapy.
Once we have identified a strategy you feel motivated to commit to over time, the process begins. Along the way, I will offer counsel, motivation, new perspectives, as well as challenge you along the way, so you reach the goals for your therapy.
Ideally you will leave a session feeling encouraged, with more clarity, curiosity and a clearer sense of how to work towards the change you are looking for.
